Reading
We are finishing up the unit on storytelling. This past week we learned about how totem poles pass on legends. The children created their own totem to represent their family's traditions. Next week we will be looking at Patricia Polacco's story The Keeping Quilt.
Spelling
The children are assigned 10 words for the week, based on their developmental readiness. Each day they complete an exercise with the words. Assessments for both Reading and Spelling are on Friday.
